Care for people indicators Gender diversity is calculated by comparing the number of women among all employees with a LTP Group contract at year-end for executive management, all managers and all employees. A manager is defined as a manager by function, not title. A manager must be employed at a managerial level AND have direct reports. Gender denotation currently available is Female, Male, Other. Genders are self declared. Gender pay ratio is the number of times the female median salary can be covered by the male median salary. It is calculated per country for all employees with a LTP Group contract on the basis of the net salary without pension and performance bonuses (as opposed to full compensation, which includes total cash target, pension and car). Part time salaries are converted to full time salary for easy comparison and control.

Employee turnover includes all employees with a LTP Group contract. The rate is calculated by comparing the total number of both voluntary and non-voluntary leavers (retirees and terminations due to abscondment are considered voluntary leavers) with the number of employees at year-end (headcount).

Living wage for a family of four – two adults working with two children living together – is estimated. The surveys are picked randomly and reflect all levels of income and expenses. 18 employees at each production site are surveyed to obtain information on their household expenses per month. Based on the survey results, the living wage is established for each production site. The 18 employees are divided into groups of three; and the six groups must represent employees as follows:

• Group 1, 2, 3 and 4: hourly paid workers (blue collar workers) • Group 4: Office (white collar workers) • Group 5: Managers (white collar workers)

A manager is defined as a manager by function and must be employed at a managerial level AND have direct reports.

Expenses included are food, housing incl. utilities (waste, water, electricity, heat), household care products, healthcare and medicine, transport, education and childcare, clothing, and phone expenses. Expenses excluded are insurance, repair expenses and leisure.
